Tarpon -The average size of the tarpon is 80 to 120 pounds, but it is not
unusual to hook on to a 250 pounder that will give you the fight for your life.
We recommend this be a catch and release fish because of its strength and size.
The average day, Tarpon jump ever 46 minutes. Tarpon on line every 2.36 hours.
Tapron releases every 3.40 hours.

SNOOK
15 TO 40 LBS. -PLUS
Big Snook 15 lb. to 40 lb. are present all year long.
They have their definite feeding hours. You will experience a stronger
feeding frenzy during a rain than a sunny day. After a rain Tarpon will
become more active. All of this adds to the challenge of the angler.

GASPAR
5 TO 20 LBS. -PLUS
Gar -(The Gaspar) The alligator fish, a living dinosaur, millions
of years old. The Gar has a head and teeth similar to an alligator
with the body of a fish. The average size is 5 to 20 pounds but they
can grow to over 350 pounds.

GUAPOTE
LARGE AND PLENTIFUL
Guapote -(Rainbow Bass) This is a spirited fish, that is plentiful in the
Cano Negro waters. Light tackle or a fly rod are the rods of choice, this
fish takes artificial lures readily. On a good day a 100lb catch is normal.
